Frequently Asked Questions

Asgaardian standard sleeves measure 66.2 × 91.5 mm and are made for standard 63 × 88 mm trading cards. That covers Magic: The Gathering, Pokémon TCG, Disney Lorcana, Flesh and Blood, One Piece Card Game, Dragon Ball Super, Digimon, Star Wars: Unlimited and Altered TCG — and Riftbound, which uses the same card size. The fit leaves room for the card to slide in cleanly, and for an inner sleeve underneath if you double-sleeve. They are not made for Yu-Gi-Oh!, which uses a smaller card.

Because a sleeve has to go over the card. Asgaardian standard sleeves are 66.2 × 91.5 mm; the cards they're made for are 63 × 88 mm. The difference is the clearance that lets a card slide in without catching, and lets a card already in a perfect-fit inner sleeve go in too. Some brands print the card size on the box, some the sleeve size — we give both, so there's no guessing: sleeve 66.2 × 91.5 mm, for cards up to 63 × 88 mm.

Yes. Pokémon TCG cards are standard size — 63 × 88 mm, English and Japanese printings alike — so Asgaardian standard sleeves fit them. Use them on their own, or over a perfect-fit inner sleeve if you double-sleeve your deck or your binder cards.

Yes — all four use standard 63 × 88 mm cards, so Asgaardian standard sleeves fit Disney Lorcana, the One Piece Card Game, Flesh and Blood and Star Wars: Unlimited exactly as they fit Magic and Pokémon. The same goes for Digimon, Dragon Ball Super Fusion World, the Gundam Card Game and Altered. If a card measures 63 × 88 mm, it fits; if it measures 59 × 86 mm, it needs a small-size sleeve, which we don't make.

No. Yu-Gi-Oh! cards are 59 × 86 mm — the smaller "Japanese size", shared with Cardfight!! Vanguard and Battle Spirits — and a standard sleeve leaves them loose enough to slide around, which Konami's tournament policy rules out outright: sleeves "large enough to allow your cards to shift inside" cannot be used. Yu-Gi-Oh! needs a small-size sleeve, and we don't make one today. If that changes, the notify-me form on any product page is the fastest way to hear.

Yes. Riftbound: League of Legends TCG uses 63 × 88 mm cards throughout — main deck, runes, battlefields and Legends — so any standard-size sleeve fits, including Asgaardian standard sleeves. You don't need game-specific sleeves for any part of a Riftbound deck.

Each Asgaardian standard sleeve adds 0.25 mm to a card — a 110 µm front and a 140 µm back — so a single-sleeved 100-card deck grows by roughly 25 mm from the sleeves alone, which a normal "100+" deck box takes. Double-sleeved decks are thicker again, and the stack sits less tightly. If you double-sleeve, choose a box sold as fitting 100 double-sleeved cards and you'll have room for tokens too.

Six colourways today: Frosted Clear, Pure Black, Fiery Red, Royal Blue, Evergreen and Plain White. Every colour has the same clear front and textured back; only the back film changes. More colours are coming — the shop always shows what's in stock, and the notify-me form on a sold-out colour tells you when it's back.

Yes — they are built for it. The 66.2 × 91.5 mm standard sleeve takes a card that is already in a perfect-fit inner sleeve without binding at the edges, and the 0.25 mm thickness keeps a double-sleeved deck thin enough to shuffle cleanly. For a third layer, a standard-size outer sleeve goes over the Asgaardian sleeve. Asgaardian's own inner and outer sleeves are in development; until they ship, standard perfect-fit inners from other makers work.

Not yet. Inner sleeves and clear and black outer sleeves are in development, each sized to pair with the standard sleeve. They are not on sale today. Leave your e-mail on the notify-me form on any product page and you'll hear first.

Slide the card into the inner sleeve, then turn it over and put it into the Asgaardian sleeve so the inner sleeve's opening sits at the bottom. The two openings face opposite ways, which seals the card on all four sides against dust, spills and edge wear. Press the air out gently and the stack sits flat.

A little, at first. A double-sleeved deck is thicker and stiffer than a single-sleeved one, and brand-new sleeves are always tightest. Asgaardian's 110 µm front and 140 µm textured back keep the stack thin enough to riffle and mash, and the matte texture gives the cards controlled grip on each other rather than slipperiness. Give a new deck a few games — sleeves bed in — and squeeze the air out of the stack when you box it.

Polypropylene (PP) film: a crystal-clear 110 µm front and a textured 140 µm back, 0.25 mm in total. The film is acid-free and PVC-free and REACH compliant, and the colour is in the back film itself rather than printed on. 0.25 mm per sleeve: a 110 µm clear front and a 140 µm textured back. The thicker back carries the colour and takes the wear of shuffling; the thinner front keeps the card art sharp. Together they give the sleeve enough body to protect and shuffle well, without a sleeved deck outgrowing its box.

Shuffle and glare. A matte, textured back gives cards controlled grip against each other, so a deck riffles and mash-shuffles cleanly without the slickness of a glossy sleeve or the tackiness of a soft one — and it doesn't reflect overhead lighting, so there's no glare across the table or on camera. The front is crystal clear, so the card art reads exactly as printed.

Yes. Polypropylene is the material archival sleeves are made of — acid-free and PVC-free, so there are no plasticisers to migrate into the card or yellow over time. Cards stored in Asgaardian sleeves in a cool, dry place, out of direct sun, stay as they went in. One exception: don't send cards for grading in them. PSA asks for each card in a clear penny sleeve inside a semi-rigid holder and says to avoid solid or opaque sleeves, which cause delays; Beckett and CGC ask for semi-rigid holders too. In the European Union. The sleeves are made in the Czech Republic, and the company is Danish — Asgaardian ApS, Charlottenlund, just north of Copenhagen — which is where the products are designed and where your mail is answered. One pack. A Commander deck is 100 cards, and sleeves live a hard life, so every Asgaardian box holds 104: 100 for the deck and four spares. For a 60-card deck with a 15-card sideboard that's 75 sleeves with 29 to spare; a 40-card Limited deck gets two decks' worth from one box. One box, one deck, no second purchase to cover a scuffed corner a month later.

Not when they fit and you don't force them. The front of an Asgaardian sleeve is smooth, clear polypropylene with nothing abrasive in it, and the clearance over a 63 × 88 mm card means the card slides in rather than scraping in. The damage people see usually comes from somewhere else: forcing a card into a too-tight inner sleeve (go slowly, corner first), grit inside a sleeve that was never wiped, or a binder page squeezing a loose single sleeve. Keep sleeves clean, don't force anything, and the card comes out the way it went in.

Wipe them. Hand oils and dust are what make sleeves feel tacky or gritty. A dry microfibre cloth handles most of it; for stubborn marks use a cloth barely dampened with water and a drop of mild dish soap, then dry each sleeve completely before the card goes back in. Never put sleeves in a dishwasher or near heat — polypropylene softens and warps — and skip solvents. Washing your hands before you play does more than any cleaning.

Sleeves don't cause foil curl — humidity does. A foil card is a paper core with a metallised layer; the paper side takes on moisture faster than the foil side, so the card bows. A tight inner sleeve can hold that bow in place, but it doesn't create it. What helps: store decks flat and boxed, keep them out of damp rooms and hot cars, and let a curled card rest between flat cards in a dry room — it usually relaxes. The sleeves themselves are flat polypropylene and should lie flat out of the box; if a sleeve arrives curled, write to us.

No — there is nothing to rub off. The back is pigmented polypropylene film: the colour runs through the material rather than sitting on it as a print or coating, so it cannot peel, flake or transfer the way printed art sleeves can. The matte texture is formed in the film too. Normal play wear shows as surface scuffs, which is what the four spares in every box are for.

Use a spare, and write to us. Every box has four extra sleeves for exactly this. If more than that fails, or anything is wrong out of the box — short count, damaged sleeves, the wrong colour — e-mail support@asgaardian.com with your order number, a photo and the batch code printed on the box. We confirm the next step within 3 business days; for a defect, replacement is free and we pay any return shipping. Under EU law you have at least two years to complain about a defect — the full text is in our Returns & Refunds policy. Bought from a game store? Your contract is with the shop, so go to them first; they'll sort it.

Traceability. Every Asgaardian box carries a batch code that tells us when the sleeves were made, on which film and on which production line — so if something goes wrong, we can find every box from the same run, not just yours. Quote it in any quality mail; it is the fastest route to an answer.

We dispatch within 2 business days of your order, and the expected delivery time for your country is shown at checkout. If no date is promised, the legal backstop is 30 days. The parcel is our responsibility until it reaches you: if it arrives damaged, or doesn't arrive, write to us and we resolve it — you never deal with the carrier. Yes — 14 days, no reason needed. The 14 days run from the day you receive the parcel. Tell us at support@asgaardian.com, send the goods back within 14 days of telling us, and we refund everything you paid, including standard delivery, within 14 days; you pay the return postage. Our boxes are sealed with a security sticker, and everything about the sleeves is printed on the box, so you can inspect them without opening them. We make sleeves in production runs, not continuously, so colours do sell out. Leave your e-mail on the notify-me form on the product page and we'll let you know when that colour is back — that's all the address is used for unless you also choose the newsletter.
